Principal Security Lead/Partner

Kim brings a lifetime of experience in IT security to ForSec, including over 14 years of documented security expertise and more than a decade working with CERT/SOC (Computer Emergency Response Team/Security Operations Center) for government entities. His high proficiency in incident management, investigation, and the design of security measures makes him an invaluable asset to our team.

Expertise and Experience

  • Incident Management & Investigation: Kim excels in handling complex security incidents, often taking on roles such as incident handler or lead forensic investigator. His ability to communicate IT security in a clear and effective manner ensures that all stakeholders understand the situation and the steps being taken.
  • Security Design & Implementation: Kim is highly skilled in designing and implementing robust security measures. He has developed several frameworks and templates for managing security incidents, ensuring that organizations are well-prepared to handle any threats.
  • Leadership in SOC/CERT Environments: Throughout his career, Kim has been involved in establishing a total of four SOC/CERT environments. He has also been the lead architect for analysis rigs and methodologies, structuring operational security environments at strategic, tactical, and operational levels.

Communication and Reporting

Kim is well-versed in writing comprehensive reports, including incident reports, root cause analysis reports, and various other analyses. His ability to take control in difficult and complex situations and communicate effectively ensures that organizations can navigate and mitigate security incidents efficiently.
